      Countryman BGA HD+ 8x42 - Paul Brewster

      27 April 2018

Having previously used the older version of the Countryman and having had the opportunity to test both versions side by side, I found a marked improvement in the 2018 model over its predecessor. The image seems sharper due to the increased light gathering of the HD+ optical system in the latest binoculars.

      20 April 2018

I’m not convinced you will find better bins for the money out there. Comfortable to hold, a decent weight, not heavy but not too light so you struggle to hold them still. Crystal clear, sharp, and with no noticeable fringing. The Quality of the optics is brilliant.

      Countryman BGA HD+ 8x42 - Steve Young

      30 March 2018

A Grey Squirrel scrabbling in bright white snow showed no colour fringing even against the gleaming background. Light gathering and sharpness were excellent and at 682g and fitted with an excellent strap I had no problem with them hanging round my neck during the day.
