The 50065 DCC Adapter provides a secure connection between suitable compact cameras and selected HDF T, HDF, HR2 and HR eyepieces. The 50064 SDL DCC Adapter is designed for use with the 40935/36 SDL zoom eyepieces.
Suitable cameras are generally those that feature either a 'fixed position' camera lens with integral thread to accept a lens hood thread/tele-converter or a 'variable position' camera lens that is supplied with an optional lens hood or extension tube that covers the lens as it extends and retracts.
Step rings needed to connect a lens hood or teleconverter tube to the 28mm external thread featured on both versions of the DCC Adapter can be obtained separately from specialist accessory suppliers.
50065 DCC Adapter
The 50065 DCC adapter comprises an aluminium tube and locking ring that can be fitted with a number delrin inserts of different diameters. Camera side, the adapter features a 28mm screw thread connection to the lens mount supporting the camera. Eyepiece side, the push-fit connection over specific HDF T, HDF and HR eyepieces has anti-clockwise lock down. Inserts are available in a choice of internal diameters;

This adapter comprises an aluminium tube & locking ring fitted with a delrin insert manufactured to the diameter of the 40935 SDL & 40936 SDLv2 eyepieces. Camera side, the adapter is fitted with a 28mm thread for connection to the lens mount supporting the camera. Eyepiece side, the push-fit connection over the eyepiece has anti-clockwise lock down. Important note: To get the best image with the 40935 SDL, adjust magnification setting on the eyepiece to; HR 66 38x, HR 80 48x, GS 665 32x, GS 815 • ES 80 40x
